What Kind of Party Politics Are You Interested In?

Being free from the command and control of Federal ties or 'Old Regime' dictates, Manitoba United can choose its own way of doing politics. Lets start now with a general question, being do you want:

A party based

- less on personalities and more on policies
- less on philosophy and more on practicality
- less on adversarial rhetoric and more on collaborative energy

Is this the kind of party
you want to see?

  1. Well - it has been a long time coming but almost inevitable. It looks like Manitoba is following the lead of the other western Provinces by creating its own unaligned political party. I am pleased to offer congratulations.

  2. t has been a long wait since April for the first policy topics to come out. I know there are probably 20 or 30 more coming but even though lots of thinking has already gone into them, it is probably wise to release them in an orderly fashion.

Manitoba United originated as mostly a movement more so than a political party although it could graduate into one and the name has been reserved just in case.

The idea behind these topics is to get people freely and actively commenting without fear of an overarching and oppressive administration trying to control each statement to assure political correctness.

There are a number of folks who have contributed to the first draft but nobody is trying to make themselves look like a leader. In fact many of them, coming from differing political camps, prefer to avoid the lime light. Because of this, and because I have no real political ambitions myself I have been asked to be the public face for the time being. I am not afraid of doing so. My name is Bob Axford. I live in St Boniface. The best email to reach me is manitobaunited@gmail.com

Best wishes on the launch and happy reading to those who want to usher in a badly needed new era of leadership for the future of Manitoba.
